🎁 Wrapping up some finishing 🎁

Maisy’s Stocking
- all ready to be filled by Santa -

“Ginger” by Stacy Nash
Finished as a weighted stand-up

“Very Merry” by Hands On Design

I’ve been in the finishing room for 3 days. Now I’m going to pick a project and start stitching the rest of the day! With a cold drink and some Christmas movies.
Life is good!

Tonight the stitching and charms & beads were completed on my expected grand daughter’s stocking. All ready for her first Christmas next year in 2026 ❤️

Her name is: Maisy Kate

I love Shepherds Bush stockings…the stitching is easy on the 20 count linen…

And all the charms and embellishments just make the stocking all the more darling…

I added the braid myself….

Omitted the wings (?) on the girl’s back and I added more snowflakes….
I like there to be a snow storm 😊

I “sort of” put the charms where they are meant to go 😂
although I’ll admit I typically end up winging it to a certain extent…

Here they are - Big sister Cora’s stocking with her anticipated little sister’s stocking❤️

I’m on a roll, I might go ahead and stitch her first Christmas ornament too 😂
I’ll be WAAAAYYY ahead of schedule…

Tomorrow I’ll sew the stocking up, because I think I’m well enough to run a sewing machine and I have a couple of presents to finish anyway.

6 weeks since my surgery and everything is going great!

We are in the polar vortex. 5 inches out there this morning and temperatures dropping…

But I’m in my room with my warmie Bigfoot. This thing… I love him! Toss him in the microwave for 2 rounds of 60 seconds and put him on what hurts.

I have the respiratory flu 🤒
And now an earache.
I warmed my warmie spritzed him with water for a moist heat and put him on the side of my head and neck. It really helped my ear.

And how did I get struck down with this?

By this little snow bunny 😊
Who has given granny one too many slobbery kisses and who had a terrible earache this week too. ❤️

God bless her little heart…

Now back to bed….

December 3, 2025

We are at WEEK 4 since my surgery!
Today I had PT, so of course I’m a little sore. But before each appointment they ask, where are you at pain level wise: 0-10. Today, I said: zero!
And it’s true. I mean I do have some general soreness still in my butt and back thigh region - sort of like a general ache, but no pain. Honestly, miraculous, after what it felt like just a month ago.

I try not to push myself, but if you have known me for any length of time, you know that is very hard for me. AND it is! 😂

My physical therapist told me I was doing outstanding, she added 3 more exercises, (one of them very hard), where I slide my leg up and then pull my knee to my chest 🥴
And I get to begin practicing walking up and down the stairs normally instead of step up, bring my other leg up, then step up, bring my other up. I get to start trying to go one leg each step, then stopping if it starts hurting.

I’m also walking at least 1/2 mile each day and adding more distance every 2 days.

For 4 weeks out…I’m thinking I’m doing good and it’s always good to have that validated by a professional.

We are hopping along here as you can see:
Hanging out with our friends…

Twinkle toe stepping as jolly as can be….

And getting little prizes because we are being good girls…

That’s a Frozen (Disney Movie) fuzzy blanket she saw in Kohl’s and couldn’t live without 😂🤣

So much to be thankful for…
So very much ❤️

Love to all 😘
