What am I doing on this last day of November?
Well I’d like to be putting up my Christmas decorations…but since that’s out this year, I’m doing the next best thing! While it blows and snows outside I’m sitting all warm and comfy in my fuzzy nonslip socks, my nightgown and my big fuzzy purple robe - snug as a bug with the fire flickering, hot beverage at the ready and my brand spanking new needlework stand on my lap - stitching away!

You need to know about my Needlework Table/Lap stand…

  1. Hi Vonna, I’ve caught up on your last few blog posts today - I was way behind. I have this same stand and love it. I don’t have the tilting legs though so I’ll try to use your directions to manufacture some.
I’ve started several new things this month and even finished several. I have 10 Christmas projects pulled and beginning tomorrow I plan to stitch two days on each. Some are WIPs and some are new starts. I used to stress myself if I didn’t have lots of finishes but I’ve mellowed a lot and don’t do that any more. I stitch when I want, read when I want, nap when I want. I think I’ve finally grown up and no longer try to please or impress others.
My day begins and ends with prayer and is sprinkled with study, though I confess that’s not every day. I do love my weekly Bible study group and my daily morning text of encouragement sent to friends and family. And I am part of a weekly prayer group at my church. All of that is the food my soul needs to survive.
I am thankful for your PT progress! And I’m very impressed by 1/2 mile at this point in your recovery!
I love you my friend and I continue to pray for you and your family. Blessings, Marlene

  2. I've been sitting in my chair stitching all day too. Hope the storm isn't too bad for you, we're only getting rain right now. And hope to see you for the Jingle Ball next weekend.

  3. We need to give ourself the grace to do nothing. Especially we project driven women. Glad your recovery is continuing and image that, you are excelling at recovery.
